Coastal ecosystems and local communities live in symbiosis, and the interaction between people and nature is essential when thinking about conservation, restoration, ecosystem management and building climate resilience. This session will highlight work from mangrove and fisheries restoration, black women-led artisanal fisheries and other projects on how to co-design transformative solutions and address issues associated with climate justice, ways of knowing, and the legacy of colonialism.
