Kelp carbon reforestation workshop and symposium
IPBC Partners the Port and Airport Research Institute (PARI) and The Ocean Policy Research Institute (OPRI) of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation are preparing to host a workshop and symposium on kelp carbon reforestation on the 22nd of January 2021. The event will aim to share experiences in ocean reforestation (focused on algal forests) and consider broader environmental benefits of ocean reforestation, including climate change mitigation and adaptation, including those from seaweed aquaculture.
